Winter Tree Fingerpainting Bubble Wrap Craft

This is a great looking Winter tree fingerpainting craft. It's complete with a tree ful of robins. It's one of a set of 4, one for each season. It uses one of my favorite techniques, using bubble wrap to paint the snow.

Materials:

  • white card stock or thick paper
  • paints
  • paint brushes
  • brown construction paper
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • glue
  • bubble wrap
  • markers
Directions:
  1. Beforehand, trace an cut out a simple tree shape. If you plan to make 4 of these crafts, make 4 trees with the same template. Or trace a hand print for the tree.
  2. Use brushes or fingers to paint on a blue sky and leave the bottom white for snow. Allow to dry.
  3. Glue the tree into your winter scene.
  4. Cut a piece of bubble wrap, about the same size as the top of the tree.
  5. Paint the bubble wrap white and press onto the tree for snow.
  6. Use an adult thumbprint for the robin and a childs thumbprint for the red tummy.
  7. After dry, add little beaks and eyes to your robins.
